According to National mental Health survey 2015-16, overall weighted prevalence of mental morbidity was 10.6% for the current and 13.7% for lifetime.
Data from NMHS reveals a treatment gap of 83% in India. The statistics for the same in Madhya Pradesh are more disturbing, overall weighted prevalence for any mental illness was 13.9% and lifetime being 16.7%. Similarly the treatment gap in M.P. was 91%. To address the shortage of advanced neuropsychiatric care in Madhya Pradesh, Manasva strives to support existing health services and enhance access to quality mental health support.
